
Congratulations on purchasing your property in Turkey. As a new homeowner, you can now arrange your utility accounts, electricity (AYDEM) and water (MUSKİ) to be transferred into your name.
The current owner will normally provide the existing account numbers, and these can either be transferred into your name or you may continue paying using the existing account details if preferred.
This guide explains the process for transferring your electricity and water accounts into your own name.
Please ensure you have the following documents ready:
To obtain your address registration document, visit the Fethiye Belediyesi (Council) building in central Fethiye, located behind Migros supermarket. Go upstairs at the rear of the building and request an address registration document confirming your property address. Your council tax must be paid in full before they will issue this.
Your temporary foreign ID number can be obtained from the Göç Office in central Fethiye, located behind the main Post Office. You will be asked to complete an identity form before the number is issued.

Located on Adnan Menderes Boulevard in Fethiye, on the same road as Erasta Shopping Mall. Continue past the roundabout for approximately 200 metres and the office will be on the left-hand side.
Take a ticket on arrival and wait for your number to be called.
Located on Süleyman Demirel Boulevard in Fethiye. Turn left at the roundabout just past Erasta Shopping Mall and the AYDEM office can be seen opposite the Shell petrol station.
Again, take a ticket and wait for your number to be called.
